LET'S LEAP ON OUTTA WORK EARLY THIS FRIDAY

Ok, so this Friday is Leap Day... and I'm taking it kinda hard this year. I never really gave it much thought, except for the fact that the people who are born on February 29 have it even worse than those born on Christmas Day. What a buzzkill... a birthday that comes around once every four years? That would royally stink. Plus, persons born on this day are referred to as leaplings. "Nanu-Nanu." Now, please follow me into Mork's egg-shaped spaceship for a little more kvetching about Leap Year... I'm just getting started.

See, this year, I'm feeling a little gypped by the whole Leap Day thing. Sure it's great to get an extra day... I'm 37 now, so believe me I want as many days as I can get. And at least it is a Friday-- the most welcomed workday of all. But if you take out all the scientific reasons for Leap Day (balancing the vernal equinoxes, keeping the calendar-year aligned with the Earth's revolutions around the sun, astronomy, algorithms, blah-blah-blah) what you're left with is a corporate conspiracy. I find it highly suspect that we are working on this "freebie" day. My point being that if you're going to get an extra day in the year, shouldn't you be able to sleep in, for crying out loud?

Let's band together, Working Grunts, and leap the Shazbot out of here early on Friday the 29th... get our Ork on like it's 1978. I'm feelin' froggy... Whaddya say?
